The Butterfly gorge is located in the Southeast of Crete, it has high biodiversity and has water even
in the summer months. During the hike you will see spectacular formations of the rocks and cliffs that surround the gorge, many pine trees, endemic plants and flowers and if you are lucky the endemic butterflies. Vultures and other birds often fly above the gorge. The hike is about 7km long
and at the end point you will see the amazing waterfalls. The brave ones could have a swim in the cold waters of the waterfall.

Activity Level: Moderate

This hike is suitable for anyone in good health and normal fitness. Kids from 10 years old and older
can participate in this hike (Kids Price 50EUR). The hike takes part on reasonably flat & rocky terrains.
