The beaches along the coast of Malia and Stalis are of the most developed on the island. With 6km of fine sandy beaches and access to a gradually deepening sea, they belong to the area’s most treasured assets.

Central Beach Strip
The ‘hot spot’ beaches for the young and the restless are on the central strip of Malia under the watchful eye of the little islet and its white-washed chapel just off the shoreline. From here the beaches gradually get quieter to its east and west.

Potamos Beach
For a traditional, old fashioned beach, frequented by the locals, head for Potamos Beach, next to Malia’s archaeological site. With readily available sun beds and umbrellas, Potamos Beach is the beach to be if you are looking for a somewhat quieter spot, away from the crowds.

Sun Beach
Sun Beach, a little to its west, is a kids’ paradise: a sea water pool with mini pedal boats and giant floating toys, mini slides and a mini trampoline keeps the little and the big ones happy and busy.

Psarolakkos Beach, Anthoussa Beach, Phoinikas Beach and Blue Sea Beach belong to the most popular beaches of Stalis.
